I have 30 years of experience with children of all ages and have made Sleep Training /Daily routine, Weaning/ Nutrition for babies my specialty.I have been working in this field for the passed twelve years and have in this time built up a knowledge and understanding of babies which is now almost instinctive.

Whilst I believe that each baby is an individual, and must be treated so, there is a routine to fit each baby and every baby I have worked with has responded well to having a proper timetable to his/her day, which then encourages a proper sleep pattern. The secret is to know how to fit this around your baby.

My early life in the African bush taught me the power of observation, and patient observation of your baby will teach you what he is trying to communicate. Each cry is telling you something and learning to understand helps build confidence as a parent.

Most mothers and fathers that I have worked with are overwhelmed by a huge and terrifying sense of responsibility for a tiny life and the sheer terror of it eats away at what should be a most wonderful and treasured experience. Having someone there who can put you at ease and help you relax and understand and enjoy your baby is often the key to happy parenting..

Packages

Welcome Home

being there for your return from the hospital which can be a nerve wracking experience..getting the baby settled into his/her new surroundings and settling the mother into a workable routine from day one..

ROUTINES

Day/night routines and getting the right pattern to ensure that your baby sleeps through the night from between 7 to 12 weeks this of course depends on the weight of your baby at birth and how much food he is taking..but everything depends on the right routine - this can be set up at anytime but it is best to do so earlier rather than later.Knowing which feeds to top up and which to cut out and when is all very confusing for a new mother, I will help you to understand the whys and how.

Bathing

This too is a new experience which should be fun and an especially bonding moment for the parent/s.however , dealing with a slippery sliding baby can be a daunting and fearful thing for a parent..Not so if you know How to hold baby and make him/her feel safe and secure in the water..Most babies love water and it is a time where all his tensions of the day dissolve as they lie in warm silky water, looking up into the eyes of the person he is learning to trust and love.

Weaning

Moving from Breast or Bottle is another big step in both the life of baby and parents..it is vital that this transition is done at the right time, with the right foods and most importantly with out stress! This should be a fun moment watching your baby discover the delights of eating delicious foods. Most nutritionalists will recommend weaning your baby from between four to six months as it gets harder it convince a baby after that to take solids.. before that the digestive system is not mature enough

I discuss with you how you want to begin the process, teach you or the nanny how to cook and store baby foods starting with the more bland foods and introducing baby slowly over several months to as many different foods and recipes as possible to encourage a healthy diet and baby’s interest in food! I will be with you on the first few days to help you and show you how to make the taking of solids can be a fun affair.
